Author Adam Hochschild will join us via Zoom to discuss his 2023 California Book Award gold medal winner in nonfiction, American Midnight: The Great War, a Violent Peace, and Democracy's Forgotten Crisis.
Prof. Hochschild is a well-known and award-winning author for his many history books. His research in topics is exhaustive, knowledgable and extremely thorough. Most of us know little about the era of World War I and its aftermath unless we had a grandparent or other elderly relative involved in it. Prof. Hochschild's book provides us with many previously unknown or even ignored facts about this "forgotten war" and its effect on American life.
