S.F. Chef Takes Paris: George Chen of China Live to Open Asia Live Beside Louvre in 2024

Come enjoy BBQ "Dutch Crunch" Char Siu Pork Buns, DuckFat Popcorn, and rare tea with award-winning Chef George Chen of China Live, as we learn more about his latest venture—creating AsiaLive next to Paris’ Louvre Museum, opening in Spring 2024 in advance of the Summer Olympics.

Asia Live will occupy the former Printemps department store space, a total of 35,000 square feet, and open onto the iconic inverted glass pyramid designed by Chinese American architect I.M.Pei. The cuisine will include Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and other Southeast Asian food, drink and merchandise.

Asia Live is a partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE, Europe's largest commercial real estate company, which is divesting itself of its American properties but bringing Chef George back with them. Come enjoy this fun event, featuring KQED's Priya David Clemens as Chef George's discussion partner.
