Our distinguished panel will discuss the increasing threats and intimidation against much of the world’s press, especially in the Middle East, which has been called the place where the freedom of the press goes to die. In countries such as Turkey, newspapers and hundreds of media outlets have been shuttered and journalists unfairly imprisoned. The panel will also discuss politically motivated attacks on CNN and Al Jazeera and the importance of free press and media.
