Creating Citizens at Commonwealth Club World Affairs is excited to host the second annual California Youth Agenda Conference. This fall, students from across California voted on the issues they most want to learn about this year: immigration, international conflict, and mental health. Now, Creating Citizens’ very own Youth Advisory Committee has put those results into action by organizing our second annual Youth Agenda Conference, taking place on April 24 in downtown San Francisco. For more details and to view the full conference program, visit the student-run California Youth Agenda Conference website.

At the conference, students will spend the day engaging with these topics through interactive workshops and expert panels, where they will hear from professionals working directly in these fields. They will also have the opportunity in a hands-on workshop that teaches students how to lobby their local governments and turn their new-found knowledge into action. They will also have the opportunity to network and collaborate with fellow students from around the region. It is a unique chance to connect, share ideas, and make our voices heard on the issues that matter the most to us.

We aim for this event to be both educational and empowering, giving students the opportunity to engage with their peers from across the Bay Area and explore ways they can make a difference in their own communities.

Food will be provided, and transportation subsidies are available.

If you are interested in bringing your class, or you work for an organization interested in tabling for the event, please email education@commonwealthclub.org to learn more.
