What does it mean to return home from war, and who helps carry the weight when you do?
American Solitaire is a moving new narrative film from writer-director Aaron Davidman, executive produced by David Oyelowo, that follows a veteran grappling with the psychological, moral and cultural aftermath of service. It’s a story about isolation, accountability and finding connection in a divided country.
Through screenings and community conversations, the film team and Picture Motion invite audiences to use the film as a springboard for dialogue on veterans’ mental health, moral injury and collective healing.
