Pay equity has long been an issue for millions of Americans, but in the past couple years it has grabbed headlines everywhere from Silicon Valley to Hollywood to Main Street. Join us for a timely and insightful look at the persistent problem of pay equity and the new efforts to do something about it.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom is a filmmaker, advocate, thought leader and the first partner of California. She wrote, directed and produced the 2011 award-winning documentary Miss Representation and the 2015 documentary The Mask You Live In, and recently premiered her third film The Great American Lie. She founded The Representation Project in 2011, a nonprofit that uses film and media to challenge limiting gender stereotypes. Since becoming first partner of California, Newsom has championed various issues related to gender equity, including the launch of her first initiative, #EqualPayCA.
