San Francisco Fleet Week, established in 1981 and administered by the nonprofit San Francisco Fleet Week Association, is an annual public event that serves a dual purpose: to honor the contributions of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and to advance cooperation and knowledge among civilian- and military-based humanitarian assistance personnel.
