Secretary Lew will discuss the state of the U.S. economy and the Obama administration's focus on accelerating growth, increasing job creation and strengthening the middle class. Lew served as White House chief of staff to President Obama and director of the Office of Management and Budget, a position he also held in President Clinton's Cabinet from 1998 to 2001. His career also includes high-level positions with Citigroup and New York University, and he helped design the Americorps national service program early in the Clinton administration.
