Book Discussion Group: HHhH by Laurent Binet

The most dangerous man in Hitler’s cabinet, Reinhard Heydrich, was known as the “Butcher of Prague,” feared by all and loathed by most. Heydrich seemed indestructible – until two men, a Slovak and a Czech recruited by the British secret service, killed him in broad daylight on a bustling street in Prague, and thus changed the course of history. Binet’s story is a vivid and highly interesting approach to the historical novel. Engaging, personal and suspenseful, Binet weaves the various threads of his story into a seamless and engrossing tale. As a reminder, this is a book discussion; the author will not be present.
