Congregation Power

Congregation Power

Rabbi Yonatan Neril, Founder and Executive Director, Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development, Jerusalem
Reverend Sally Bingham, Founder, Interfaith Power and Light
Reverend Ng, First Chinese Baptist Church, San Francisco

People from many religious traditions are acting as stewards of creation by powering their congregations with clean energy and encouraging smart policies in their communities. Leaders of this movement contend that all major religions have a mandate to care for creation. Groups like Interfaith Power and Light are working to make houses of worship more efficient and sustainable. This includes incandescent light bulbs and new caulk around those drafty stained glass windows. How are communities of faith around the world getting involved to build a more sustainable future? How are they flexing their political muscle?
