Monday Night Philosophy looks at the amazingly widespread conviction that the end of the world is nigh and Christmas will not arrive this year. Polls tell us that one in ten Americans does not expect to live past December 21. We will delve into why eschatological excesses excite and enchant otherwise (fairly) rational minds, and how the Internet is being used to spread doomsday stories. Come have some unusual holiday discussions. This may be your last chance!
