Before the Dawn: Recovering the Lost History of Our Ancestors, by Nicholas Wade

Nicholas Wade explores the deep roots of our cognitive and emotional nature, beginning with the origin of humanity in Africa 50,000 years ago, and traces the human population’s spread and development throughout the world, up to the present. Science journalist Wade applies the insights of genetics to these questions about our species. As a reminder, this is a book discussion group. The author will not be present.
