John Garamendi, MBA, Harvard School of Business, Member of U.S. House of Representatives (D-CA); Member, House Armed Services Committee

John Diaz, Editorial Page Editor, San Francisco Chronicle - Moderator

What can be done to help veterans re-enter the domestic workforce on financially and psychologically sound footing, particularly in an unsettled job market? Congressman Garamendi brings nearly four decades of public service to the House Armed Services and Natural Resources committees. He has served as a Peace Corps volunteer, California's state majority leader, deputy secretary of the Department of the Interior, and California’s insurance commissioner. The son of a World War II major, Garamendi is the author of H.R. 3860, the Help Veterans Return to Work Act.
