Ethical Imperative of America’s Involvement in the World

James A. Baker III, Former U.S. Secretary of State

This event is sold out.

The man who played a crucial role in crafting American policy over the last four decades returns to the spotlight for a candid discussion of the ethical concerns that must guide U.S. foreign policy.
A Republican Party powerhouse player since the 1970s, James A. Baker III served at top levels of government, including stints as chief of staff in the Reagan and George  H.W. Bush White Houses, and as President Reagan’s treasury secretary and George H.W. Bush’s secretary of state. Since leaving these roles he’s stayed active in politics, acting as advisor to President George W. Bush and being tapped for the co-chair position in the Iraq Study Group. Secretary Baker will draw on the lessons of his extraordinary career in a hard-hitting exploration of what the United States must do in order to develop an effective and secure foreign policy.”
