The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) will honor Jeanloz, professor of Earth and Planetary Science and of Astronomy at UC Berkeley, with the Hans Bethe Award for his demonstration of the reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile in the presence of a moratorium on nuclear testing.
