Free Screening of Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry

This event is sold out

Just how fine is the line between art and politics? INFORUM invites you to find out at a special, free screening of IFC Films' Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry. The debut documentary from director Alison Klayman follows two years in the life of Chinese artist/dissident/father/activist Ai Weiwei. As China's most famous contemporary artist and one of its most outspoken critics, Ai Weiwei has captivated the international community with his controversial stands against censorship and his use of art and social media to organize the Chinese people. Join us for the film, followed by a Q&A with Cheryl Haines, director of Haines Gallery in San Francisco and an Ai Weiwei supporter. Don't miss this inside story of a dissident for the digital age and how he's blurring the line between artistic and political expression.

Location: The Embarcadero Center Cinema, One Embarcadero Center, Promenade Level
Time: 7:30 p.m. screening, approximately 9 p.m. Q&A
