By working to slow the effects of aging and prevent or delay the disorders commonly associated with it – Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, cancer, arthritis, stroke, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease, among others – Kennedy and Buck Institute scientists are focused on extending the healthy years of life so that growing older doesn’t have to mean growing ill.
