“Our guide Randy could not have done more to make the trip more wonderful. He was always calm, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and history of Alaska.”
About Club Travel
For more than 40 years...
The Commonwealth Club has been bringing together study leaders and breathtaking destinations to offer the best in global exploration. The Club's name opens doors worldwide, giving us unparalleled access to thought leaders, special sites and behind-the-scenes activities. Our travelers take in the rich culture of the destination while meeting with its brightest minds - including journalists, politicians, artists and academics.
In 2012, we are traveling to a number of off-the-beaten path destinations, including Botswana and Burma, and the Silk Road countries of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, while also returning to some popular favorites, such as Morocco and China.
For those who want to stay closer to home, we also offer shorter domestic trips such as our March program to Death Valley (led by a former Death Valley Park Ranger) and a jaunt up to Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (led by Shakespeare expert Philippa Kelly). You could visit these places on your own - but you will learn and see so much more with the Club!
Throughout our programs you'll enjoy engaging educational programs, excellent study leaders, top accommodations, and thoughtful itineraries. You will also enjoy great company! Our travelers tell us the opportunity to meet and build friendships with other members from the Bay Area is the highlight. Our superb staff ensure the highest quality of service and take care of the details so you can sit back and experience the wonder of the places you are exploring.
Imagine your next great journey, whether marveling at the ancient site of Pagan, experiencing the "White Nights" in the Baltics, spotting wildlife in Botswana, or cruising down the Blue Danube in Hungary. I invite you to take advantage of this wonderful program and travel with us!
