The Valleys of Sonoma

Join Cathy Curtis, Bay Gourmet Member-Led Forum Chair, for an exclusive food, wine, and historical exploration designed for Bay Area locals. Kick off your summer with this 3-day action-packed, all-inclusive vacation enjoying the restaurants, wineries and farms of Sonoma County.

Learn about contemporary landscape design during a tour at CornerStone Gardens; experience literary history at Jack London's Beauty Ranch; and meet George MacLeod, patron of MacLeod Family Vineyard. Spend two nights in Healdsburg, the charming town which sits at the cross section of several wine growing regions – Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, and Russian River Valley. Ride along the scenic "Valley of the Moon," sip wine at the Dry Creek, and learn who Cyrus Alexander was. Have you always wanted to know the difference between the wines of these viticultural areas? Our guest speakers will tell you!

As we tour local farms, learn about Sonoma County's Farm Trails, a movement started in the 1973. Lavender, peaches and fresh produce abound! At a private tour at Michel-Schumberger we sip fabulous wines and hear about their creek restoration project and bee-keeping operations. We also enjoy a fabulous catered lunch by Relish Culinary Adventures. Experience a private tasting and tour by George Bursick, the esteemed winemaker at J Vineyards. Our dinners are at top restaurants, such as Barndiva - and our lunches are glorious! This trip includes all meals, all your transportation from San Francisco or Marin, private tours, visits and tastings. Wine is included with meals, as are gratuities, taxes and other trip tips. All the work is done for you! We guarantee you will have a great time, and learn things about the area you never knew before!
