In addition to providing the same rich calendar of engaging and thought provoking speakers that have been the hallmark of The Commonwealth Club for more than a century, our Silicon Valley office was established to better serve the needs of our growing and innovative high-tech region.
With nearly 100 programs each year, past Silicon Valley speakers include, Madeleine Albright, Alan Alda, Hon. George W. Bush, Walter Cronkite, Carly Fiorina, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, and Steve Wozniak, among many others. The Club is also actively engaged in developing forums that address issues pertinent to our vibrant community including immigration, bicycle safety, etc.
The Club also has a large radio presence and broadcasts programs locally on KLIV (1590 AM) every Thursday at 7:00 and 10:00 p.m.
A distinguished group of South Bay leaders, educators, and visionaries make up our Commonwealth Club Silicon Valley Advisory Council with our Silicon Valley office located in downtown San Jose, a block from San Jose City Hall.
