Longtime Bay Area resident Martin Yan is the host of PBS’s award-winning series “Yan Can Cook,” and also a food consultant, valued cooking instructor and author of more than 30 successful cookbooks. Chef Yan has taught at top culinary institutions such as The Culinary Institute of America, The California Culinary Academy and The Chinese Cuisine Institute in Hong Kong, and has appeared on numerous television shows including "Iron Chef America," "Top Chef" and Gordon Ramsey’s "Hell’s Kitchen." An internationally recognized master chef and expert in the art of Asian cooking, Chef Yan joins us for an evening to celebrate the Chinese New Year and discuss his influential culinary career and the state of Chinese cuisine in the United States today.
