Mary B. Cranston is firm senior partner and immediate past chair of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Prior to that she was chair of the Litigation Department. Cranston received her bachelor of arts degree from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1969, her master of arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1970, and her juris doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 1975. She has been honored on the National Law Journal's list of The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in the US, the California Daily Journal list of The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in California, the San Francisco Business Times list of The 50 Most Influential Business Women in the Bay Area for 1999–2002 and she is a 2005 recipient of the Margaret Brent Award, the highest award given by the American Bar Association. Cranston currently sits on the Board of Trustees of Stanford University, the San Francisco Ballet, Visa Inc., GrafTech International, Juniper Networks, and the Bay Area Council. |
