Former Congressman and Dean of Haas Business School, Tom Campbell, will outline what is essential to know about our economy as we enter the New Year with a wobbly stock market and a real estate crisis. Campbell will help us navigate uncertain economic waters in this 2008 annual forecast. Campbell, who became Dean of the Haas Business School at U.C. Berkeley as a wave of corporate fraud was sweeping the nation, will also address issues of business ethics and corporate social responsibility.

Before coming to the Haas Business School, Campbell served five non-consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives as a Republican. He was the youngest professor ever to be awarded tenure at Stanford University when he became a professor of law there in 1983. His public service also includes Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission and White House Fellow to the White House counsel. Campbell earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago, where he also received his B.A. and M.A. He received a J.D. from Harvard University.
