Named by Time as one of the 100 most influential leaders in the world, Sachs has been a leading voice for economic development, environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation. He currently serves as a special advisor to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and was the director of the UN Millennium Project and special advisor to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
