The Commonwealth Club, working with leading designers, has proposed an exciting new headquarters for the 111-year-old Club. The first standalone permanent location for The Commonwealth Club will be an impressive addition to The Embarcadero. Join club staff and experts from the firms that have designed and engineered this remarkable building to learn about the future home of The Commonwealth Club.

The building will be LEED Gold or Platinum certified. The design is a unique blend of historic preservation and re-use of the existing building, and it includes a third-story addition and high-performance building envelope to house Club programs, offices, casual meeting areas, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the Bay Bridge. Join us and hear from key designers from Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects, Tipping Mar structural engineering, ARUP mechanical engineering, and Charles M. Salter Associates, Inc. acoustics and audio/visual design for a preview of the Club’s new gathering place for members and programs.
