Much has changed in politics over the past 40 years. One thing that has remained constant, however, is the presence of Congressman George Miller, who was just 29 years old when he was first elected in 1975. Already a six-term veteran by the time Nancy Pelosi entered Congress, Miller was known as her strong right arm throughout her rise up the ranks of House leadership.
