John Lahr will discuss his new book on Tennessee Williams, which provides intimate access to the mind of the writer whose plays reshaped the American theater and our nation’s sense of self.

A regular contributor to The New Yorker, Mr. Lahr has written 17 books and two novels. Previously, Lahr has written for the Nation, the Village Voice, and British Vogue. Some of his work has been included in volumes of The Best American Essays, and he is the first critic ever to win a Tony Award.
