Power in Numbers: Kickoff Platforum with Nightlife at the Cal Academy

Let's launch the Club's Platforum Citizen Science series in true science style with the California Academy of Science's Nightlife. Be a citizen scientist for a night and learn all about large-scale and local projects that depend on data collected by everyday folks. Participate in big crowdsourced data collection and visualization projects through iNaturalist and Zooniverse, web-based portals with projects ranging from mapping the lunar surface to tracking badger sightings. Plus, check out the plethora of opportunities to help document life in your own backyard as part of ongoing citizen science biodiversity projects organized by the Academy and others. Every Thursday evening, NightLife features music, cocktails and cutting-edge science for adults ages 21 and up.
