Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana last November by fairly wide margins. An increasing number of people think legalization is inevitable, but is it desirable? What are the potential impacts of legalization on youth drug use, drugged driving, addiction, mental health and the use of marijuana for medical purposes? Kevin Sabet, the former senior advisor to President Obama's drug czar and current co-founder, with Patrick Kennedy, of Project SAM, will debate Clint Werner, author of Marijuana Gateway to Health: How Cannabis Protects Us from Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease, about the merits of and drawbacks to marijuana legalization.
