The Natural Resources Defense Council was founded in 1970 by a group of law students and attorneys at the forefront of the environmental movement, including John Adams. Since then, NRDC lawyers have helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws and continue to provide legal services in support of environmental issues of all kinds. The Adams’ new book is an account of the 40-year human and ecological struggle to preserve our planet.
