Aama's Journey: A Pilgrimage Between Continents and Cultures

Broughton Coburn, Author, 20-Year Himalayan Veteran

Coburn takes us on an illustrated, 12,000-mile odyssey across America with Aama, his 84-year-old adoptive Nepalese mother, in search of the soul of our country. In this poignant and thought-provoking adventure, Coburn will paint a portrait of the cosmology, philosophy, hopes and humor of a woman with no previous exposure to Western civilization. Aama is a universal spirit, says Coburn, singular in her discovery of the vitality and sacredness that surrounds us.
