Rich Benjamin

Senior Fellow, Demos; Author, Searching for Whitopia

Benjamin has observed a migration phenomenon in which white people are choosing to leave their increasingly diverse neighborhoods for small towns known as “Whitopias.” Benjamin lived in three of the fastest growing Whitopian enclaves in Georgia, Idaho and Utah. He outlines the forces that have created these areas and discusses the psychological and cultural implications that could change the future of the country.
