Following the passage of the largest state deficit reduction package in U.S. history, Senate President Pro Tem Steinberg is now focusing his attention on building a “smarter” agenda for California. Contending with the realities of increasingly limited resources, Steinberg will share his plans to ensure health care for all kids, link our educational system to high-wage careers in growing new California job sectors, stabilize the state’s water supply needs, and focus on renewable energy during his tenure as state senate leader.
