In recent months the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for same-sex marriages to resume in California and declared DOMA unconstitutional. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg became the first Supreme Court Justice to officiate at a same-sex marriage. Even President George H.W. Bush attended a lesbian wedding in Maine.
