The Details

Events held on Mondays and Fridays are free to members at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club headquarters (595 Market Street) only. Events held at other locations on Mondays and Fridays are not free, but members do receive the regular member discount. Non-members (including guests of members) must pay the regular price for all events, including events held on Mondays and Fridays. Space is limited and reservations are required for free events to ensure seating. Read more »

Private Events

Host your meetings and events at the Club

Whether you're hosting an intimate conference for 10 or a larger seminar, the Club's facility is the perfect place for your next event.

When the Club is not hosting its own events, the facility has over 5,500 square feet of meeting space available for rent and can accommodate groups of up to 250 people. Read more »

Special Events

In addition to showcasing hundreds of speakers each year, The Commonwealth Club hosts many unique events, including themed speaker series, conferences, benefits and awards ceremonies. Read more »

Member-led Forums

Member-led forums (MLFs) are a volunteer-driven division of Commonwealth Club programming.

These diverse and timely programs range from large speeches to intimate meetings with speakers, from art shows to restaurant tours. MLFs are groups made up of members who coordinate programs within a specific area of interest. MLF programs are always developed and produced by volunteers, separate from those developed and produced by Club staff. MLFs focus on specific subject areas and afford Club members the opportunity to interact with the speakers. Read more »

Our Featured Events bring the nation's leading men and women to our members and the general public. These events take place throughout the bay area.

Related Club activities also include a monthly art exhibit, weekly language classes and international travel.
