In this Club talk, Shakespeare scholar Stephen Greenblatt describes his attempt, in Will in the World, to recreate the everyday world of William Shakespeare. Greenblatt presents the Bard as a flesh-and-blood person who overcame humble beginnings to compose the greatest plays of the English language. Greenblatt also describes the research methods he used to illuminate Shakespeare's life and work .
