Having just returned from Pakistan, Christopher Hitchens spoke at The Commonwealth Club's San Francisco office on December 17 on the war on terrorism, the impact of religious fundamentalism, and the role of the contrarian in society. Orville Schell, dean of the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley, conducted the question and answer session.
